One of Yoga’s formal definitions is to ‘unite’, to ‘yolk’, to bring together. In all of our classes Body, Mind and Soul are invited back to Oneness, though the mindful use of motion and Breath.

Yoga Asanas, the ‘postures’ or ‘poses’ for which Yoga is popularly known for here in the Planet’s West, is just one of the “Eight Limbs of Yoga” (Patanjali). Far more than merely another form of exercise, Yoga is a 5,000 year old tradition. A tradition that arose out of the recognition that to be Human is to (sometimes) suffer. Yoga’s practices’ aim to help us alleviate that Human suffering.

Our Aerial Yoga remains a yoga practice. Whilst oftentimes supported in the air, many Aerial postures are grounded in traditional ‘grounded’, ‘on your mat’, yoga. Our use of the fabric offers different support AND challenge to the physical body.

Beginner’s yoga:

Introduces key concepts and postures, inviting both additional strength and flexibility into the physical body, whilst simultaneously nurturing our minds into greater relaxation, restoration, awareness and spaciousness.

The use of props is encouraged and promoted.

Gentle Slow Flow

An all-levels yoga class with a slow flow between postures of gentle, longer holds. The use of Props is encouraged and promoted to support the body’s ‘opening up’, lengthening and releasing tension and chronic holding patterns. This class offers emphasis on relaxation and restoration, and as such most of the postures will be seated, vs standing. A greater focus on flexibility, vs strength.

Vinyasa/Power Yoga

A more vigorous and energetically paced practice building increased strength and flexibility, (and perhaps some degree of perspiration via a raised heart rate), We more fluidly transition through a greater depth and breadth of postures, taking the physical body and mind through a period of invigoration, before again inviting deep relaxation, restoration and equanimity.

As the Valley’s only aerial yoga studio, Aerial Yoga is offered continuously, whilst floor yoga is offered on occasion
