Christine Price E-RYT 500, YACEP

Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher 500 hours, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider

Christine began her journey into a Yogic lifestyle in 2008.

After 20 years in Corporate America and from her positions of Vice President/Chartered Financial Analyst with a large multi-national Financial Services firm she departed on medical leave. With multiple diagnoses of Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, IBS, insomnia, anxiety and depression she was, at the time, on twelve different prescription medications for such. After the mixed blessing of a ‘cosmic two-by-four’ wake up call and a 5 day hospital stay, with bilateral pneumothorax (aka “double lung puncture”) from misdirected trigger point injections, she turned to Yoga in an effort to more holistically begin to ‘piece’ herself back together, find healing and reduced suffering, and ways to facilitate being able to ‘live inside this body’.

2010 - In the lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya, T.K.V. Desikachar and Gary Kraftsow’s Viniyoga, Christine graduated as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200 hours) with Yoga Alliance.

2011 - Christine continued her instructor training in Kerala, India, with Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health instructors Coby Kozlowski, Danny Arguetty and Katie Brauer, completing her RYT 500 training and certification in Tantric Yoga.

Christine has taught, facilitated, and/or guided yoga, aerial yoga, aerial dance, YogaEd, meditation, sound baths, breathwork journeys and programs, Thai yoga, shamanic illumination, chakra cleansings and rebalancings and ecstatic cathartic dance on both East and West Coasts; both privately and in group classes at schools, YMCAs, private studios, Crossfit facilities, Country Clubs and outdoor venues .

Personally, these practices have supported Christine managing , on an ongoing basis, to still ‘live in this body’ that battles Fibromyalgia; through recovery from several surgeries following an auto accident, bilateral mastectomies, ‘reconstructive’ breast implant illness (BII), subsequent explant and explant revision (all within a very short 10 months), the 2022 suicide of her dearest big and only brother, and passing of her father just 10 weeks later……. and all else that “life’ tends to throw this human existences’ way. Indeed, it is often presented that “To be human is to suffer’, and 5,000 years ago, Yoga thus became a practice aimed at tending to and eliminating such suffering! It has been her experience that Yoga indeed does precisely that.

The Covid pandemic rather blew her into Salem VA in early March 2020, when a three-week visit to family very quickly (and happily) turned permanent. With seemingly little opportunity in the local area to readily continue to practice these modalities that have become so very central to her own health, wellness and balance, opening BodyMindSoulSalem became a natural and obvious path to walk. She deems it nothing short of a privilege and honor to extend these offerings to our community.
